This
just in from the Coach’s office: InBounds Ministries has agreed to a
partnership for 2022 Season with the Marshall Baptist Association in the
utilization of the Marshall Baptist Retreat Center, located on beautiful Lake Guntersville
(AL). Coach Burden (InBounds Ministries) will continue to direct InBounds while
also serving as the Interim Retreat Center Director of Development. (This is simply an
extension of the local part of our mission…)
The
agreement includes the opportunity for InBounds to utilize the facility as its “home
court” for the 2022 season, and for the Burdens to live on site; Coach Burden
will in turn handle the booking load of the camp while helping implement new
vision for the churches of the MBA to reach the community. (InBounds will
continue its national and international outreach, while focusing local efforts
at the retreat.)
Citing
a kindred desire to [“fulfill the Great Commission
of evangelism and discipleship; according to the Great Commandment to love God
and love others; via the Great Game Plan to reach our local, national, and
international communities”], Coach Burden and Mike Foreman (Marshall
Baptist, Association Missions Strategist) have looked at ways to steward the
amazing facility the association has been blessed with in reaching our “Jerusalem”
(Acts 1:8)
“I
have been praying and felt the Lord leading heavily that we needed to
establish a better local presence with InBounds here in Alabama. InBounds
exists to support local churches! This gives me a great opportunity to do
this for the MBA. Along with that I have been looking for ways to more firmly
establish our Red Shirt Year (apprenticeship GAP program.) This provides a
great platform for that as well!” (Coach Burden)

local outreach (already have some GREAT things on the agenda and have made many
new acquaintances)

upcoming travel schedule as I am speaking/support-raising at churches in IL(2),
VA, and FL over the next couple months, while also serving with our local
church

the ministry van; wisdom on transportation needs
·
(SELFISH REQUEST) Would love to have a
golf cart or UTV to utilize on the grounds at the retreat we are serving
·
Plans for another
trip to the Dominican Republic
·
Plans for summer
leadership camps and fall tour
