Taylor-Made Investment Fund

Since the Tip-Off of InBounds Ministries, we have emphasized the practical training of young people in ministry… and doing whatever it takes financially to make that happen! We have held many discipling ROCK’em Road Trips (some of which supporters funded the players with full ride scholarships) … And we introduced the Ambassadors International Scholarship Fund where monies were raised to INVEST in EQUIPPING young people for more intensive service opportunities overseas…

As I look at what the Lord has laid on my heart recently, I see a gaping hole in ministry models that truly INVEST in young adults… and typically if there is an option, it comes at great financial costs to the recipient… leaving them, yes trained, BUT also leaving them saddled with debt. Thus, in staying with our missions’ mindset of Going MAD (locally, regionally, and internationally), we have been developing more opportunities for our REDSHIRT YEAR (GAP year training) and our new summer TRAINING CAMP ’22 that is an intense hands-on apprenticeship for 16-25 yr. olds…

At this time of year, we always try to make folks aware of what the Lord is doing in our ministry… for us, March MADness carries not just watching exciting basketball games but also a very full schedule of travel to churches, and internet posts designed to help us raise prayer support… and obviously financial support…

This year has followed that formula, and due to the effects of the last couple of years, InBounds is definitely in need of more financial support in our general operations… and we also have a new program, the aforementioned TRAINING CAMP, that needs funding as well…

You may notice that I keep emphasizing the word INVEST… when I looked up how to determine a good investment, I found descriptors such as “determine/careful/consider/evaluate/etc.”; all with the questions of short-term and long-term goals… and may I add for believers, eternal goals.

So, with that said we are putting out a call for Intentional INVESTing in our Ambassadors Scholarship Fund to insure we can EQUIP our apprentices in the short and long term, not saddle them in debt… this fund will now carry over to any of our missions outreach/training, be it local, regional, or international… and we are giving it a new name!!!

Earlier this year the InBounds team lost one of our original supporters… a man that believed in and has INVESTed in our ministry from the start… a man dedicated to a life of service… a man that encouraged me many times… a man who was very intentional in his giving… and a man whose family has chosen to continue in support of our mission! I received word from his wife that she will be continuing in monthly support to InBounds AND is providing a special gift in honor of her husband… Doug Taylor. So we have chosen to reboot and rename the scholarship fund to the Taylor-Made INVESTment Fund… (the TMI)… where monies earmarked for this will be
Taylor-Made” to needs in raising up InBounds All Star teams (spiritual special forces units) to Go MAD in this world! (Note: Doug Taylor was a very quiet, unassuming man that happened to have served our country as a special forces Green Beret! And he strongly believed in proper stewardship [Intentional INVESTing] of our funds in others!) We look forward to seeing the return on this INVESTment!

Please pray for us, and if so led, give to the general ongoing needs of the ministry AND/OR the TMI Fund…
